The programme brings together the Hungarian commemorations of 15 March and Estonian Native Language Day. Estonian Native Language Day is celebrated every year on 14 March, the birthday of Kristjan Jaak Peterson; its aim is to nurture the Estonian language, preserve linguistic heritage and strengthen the role of the mother tongue in national identity. The shared occasion celebrates freedom, national traditions and kinship through language.
