Day of Related Peoples and Saint Wendelin Walk

The Day of Related Peoples celebrates the shared linguistic and cultural heritage of the Finno-Ugric peoples, drawing attention to kinship ties and common values. On this day, programmes presenting the traditions, languages and cultures of Hungarians, Finns, Estonians and other Finno-Ugric peoples strengthen connections between communities. The day also includes the Saint Wendelin Walk: participants visit the Wendelin statues in the settlement, which commemorate Saint Wendelin, patron of animals and shepherds, and discover local religious and cultural heritage.
